Botanic gardens are also plenty in the Montjuic, along with pavilions and the famous Montjuic Castle. The Magic Fountain, a magnificent fountain which was built for the 1929 Universal Exhibition, gives tourists a great view of the 18th century Castell de Montjuic and is also a tourist attraction in itself.

If you are looking for spiritual things to do in Barcelona Spain, you would never run out of places to go as the city is filled with towering churches and temples with both Baroque and Classic architectural designs. Barcelona is home to a number of glorious buildings that proudly show the city’s unique architecture. But despite all that beauty, the works of Antonio Gaudi stand out the most. Curvilinear stones, gothic, and nature forms are prominent features in all of Gaudi’s work, and all of them are no less exquisite than the other. One of his most famous works of art is also one of Barcelona’s most famous tourist attractions the La Sagrada Familia. Construction for it started in 1882 but it remains unfinished until now. The building has a museum inside it, where stone masons carve stones to be used in the ongoing construction of the temple. It has already been proclaimed a minor basilica by the papacy in 2010.

Barcelona is also home to a famous road strip by the name La Rambla. It is a 1.2 km (0.75 mi) boulevard from Plaça Catalunya to the seas at the harbor. It is one of the busiest streets in the world, and the third busiest street in Europe. The road strip is visited by many people not only because it is a great sight, but also because it offers great entertainment and great food as well.

Barcelona has kept its squares well away from the lanes and the heart of the city and this turned them into little pockets of peace and quite amidst the chaos of the main roads. The city has also attracts millions of photographers because of its silent, delicate beauty. Movies and TV programs are also very frequently shot in Barcelona because of the romantic ambiance the small squares and plazas radiate.

In the 1990s, the City of Counts lay claim of the beaches and made the city into the cultural paradise we all know now. Beaches such as Bogatell and Sant Sebastià are both preferred by locals and foreigners alike this is because beaches in this city are usually complete with various beach activities that all people could enjoy.
